After 5 Years in Miami, I Moved to Silicon Valley

After 5 years of living in Miami, I just moved to Menlo Park, CA last week to be based in Silicon Valley and be in the heart of tech.

It's been a long time goal and I finally did it. Planning to actively network and rebuild my circle here.

So far I'm really missing Miami weather and comfort. Hating regulations and taxes here but hopefully it'll be worth it. The energy in the Bay Area is different though — everywhere you go, people are building something. The density of ambition and talent here is unlike anywhere else in the world.

I might change my mind and come back though but I committed to stay for at least 6 months and immerse myself fully so if I leave I'll know I did my best here.

The decision to move wasn't easy. Miami has been incredible — the weather, the lifestyle, the growing tech scene. But there's something about being physically present in Silicon Valley that you can't replicate remotely. The serendipitous meetings, the dinner conversations that turn into partnerships, the ability to walk into any coffee shop and meet someone building the future.

For any entrepreneur considering the move: commit fully or don't do it at all. Half-measures don't work when you're trying to break into a new ecosystem. You need to be present, available, and genuinely invested in building relationships.

Whoever is based in Bay Area, let's meet! Or if you know any interesting people you think I should meet, I'd appreciate any intros.
