I Drove from Miami to Georgia on Tesla's Full Self-Drive with Grok AI

Tesla recently added Grok AI into its cars, and it's a really amazing feature.

I drove all the way from Miami to Georgia today on full self drive mode while chatting with Grok and it helping adjust the route when I needed to.

2026 is gonna be the biggest year for autonomous technology adoption.

I predict that this year I'll be driven more by autonomous cars than by humans given that I'm mainly using FSD instead of driving now and I'm moving to SF where there's Waymo and Tesla Robotaxi.

The future is finally here.

Think about what just happened: I completed a multi-state road trip — hundreds of miles — without touching the steering wheel for most of it, while having an intelligent conversation with an AI assistant built into the car. Five years ago, this was science fiction. Today, it's a Tuesday.

The integration of Grok into Tesla's vehicles is more than just a cool feature. It represents the convergence of two massive technology trends: autonomous driving and conversational AI. Your car isn't just driving itself — it's thinking, responding, and adapting to your needs in real-time.

What excites me most is the acceleration curve. Autonomous technology has been 'almost here' for years, but 2026 feels different. The technology is mature enough for daily use, the regulatory environment is catching up, and consumer trust is growing as more people experience it firsthand.

For anyone still skeptical about autonomous driving: try it. Spend a week using FSD on your daily commute. The experience will fundamentally change how you think about transportation, productivity, and the future of cities.

The transition from human-driven to autonomous vehicles isn't just a technology shift — it's a lifestyle shift. And it's happening right now.
